Mineral-X Bidra Applied Research Lab

Bidra VC and Mineral-X collaboration's mission is to promote applied mineral research and education for Africa and beyond. Our goal is to develop projects and opportunities for collaboration in strategic areas like mining, energy, geosciences, and AI for Africa.

Projects

Morocco holds more than 70% of the world's phosphate reserves, a critical mineral used in fertilizers and battery materials. The lab works on improving the efficiency and sustainability of phosphate mining and mineral processing through the following projects:

• Improving Phosphate Recovery Using Process Mineralogy of Flotation Tailings
• AI-Driven Discovery and Design of Selective Reagents and Ligands for Critical Minerals Extraction
• AI-Driven Optimization under Uncertainty for Mineral Processing: A Case Study of Phosphate Flotation

• Applied Geometallurgy to Strategic Metals Ore Bodies for a Resilient Mine Operation
