The Mineral-X Initiative, in collaboration with Kobold Metals is delighted to announce the inaugural Stanford Mineral-X Symposium 

Critical Minerals: efficient exploration & responsible mining”, 

held June 20-21, 2023, on the Stanford Campus.

The conference will be attended by senior executives, managers and scientists from the mineral exploration, mining industry, clean tech investors, academia, government and non-governmental organizations as well as end-users of critical minerals. The symposium will consist of short keynote addresses followed by panel discussions as well as sessions on mineral exploration technological advances. The symposium will cover the following topics:

  • Critical mineral supply for Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Cobalt and REE
  • Artificial intelligence and digital technologies in mineral exploration and mining
  • Advances in geophysical imaging for mineral exploration
  • Cleantech investments for the critical mineral supply: from exploration to batteries
  • Decarbonization of the mineral supply chain
  • Responsible mining and community engagement
  • Creating the new workforce: education for mining and the energy transition
