Tyler Hall wins at the world’s largest mining conference, the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.

Mineral-X PhD Candidate Tyler Hall’s poster won second place, entitled “Sequential Decision-Support for Optimal Exploration Planning”. This adds to his other second place win at the American Exploration and Mining Association Annual Meeting held in December 2022.

On March 5th through the 8th, 23,000 people attended the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) held in Toronto, Canada. PDAC is known as the leading conference for the mining and mineral exploration industry, convening industry and academia.

As part of a joint event between PDAC and the Society of Economic Geologists, 75 students presented posters, summarizing their research. Posters were judged by a panel from industry and academia.

“Thank you to my research collaborators at Stanford and KoBold Metals, as well as the TomKat Center for funding the research and travel! It is an opportunity of a lifetime to be able to attend PDAC as a student and be able to share my research.” --Tyler.
