The Mineral-X Initiative, in collaboration with Kobold Metals is delighted to announce the inaugural Stanford Mineral-X Symposium
“Critical Minerals: efficient exploration & responsible mining”,
held June 20-21, 2023, on the Stanford Campus.
The conference was attended by senior executives, managers and scientists from the mineral exploration, mining industry, clean tech investors, academia, government and non-governmental organizations as well as end-users of critical minerals. The symposium consisted of short keynote addresses followed by panel discussions. The symposium covered the following topics
- Critical mineral supply for Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Cobalt and REE
- Artificial intelligence and digital technologies in mineral exploration and mining
- Cleantech investments for the critical mineral supply: from exploration to batteries
- Decarbonization of the mineral supply chain
- Responsible mining and community engagement
- Creating the new workforce: education for mining and the energy transition
